Speaking with Vicky Lalwani, Varma said he cannot recall the exact wording of the tweet because he frequently posts multiple tweets.
Varma clarified that he didn’t intend to insult anyone; it was simply his reaction to Kiara Advani’s appearance in the teaser of War 2. He added that when a trailer features a woman in a bikini, it is expected to provoke reactions.
