In response to social media comparisons, the Bhooth Bangla actor addressed the topic, reflecting on her career and individuality in Bollywood.
During a conversation with Shubhankar Mishra, an Indian journalist, news anchor, and social media influencer, Akshay was asked about the ongoing social media comparisons, in which Wamiqa is being compared to Aishwarya Rai for her beautiful eyes.
According to him, Wamiqa’s eyes are indeed similar to Aishwarya Rai’s, but she has her own identity and unique style, doing things her own way.
He also added that Wamiqa had struggled a lot to make her mark in Bollywood. She has appeared in Punjabi films and is now active in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil cinema. Overall, she is proving her prowess in all genres.
Besides Akshay, Wamiqa herself has responded to such comparisons in a very light-hearted note.
Some social media users even called her Aishwarya Rai’s daughter, as she resembles her.
When she was asked about her PR strategy by an influencer, she answered saying “Talented aur khoobsurat bhi? Uff, thaaaank you.
