Sunny Deol credits Border 2 Success to the blessings of Papa Dharmendra

Actor Sunny Deol is experiencing success with his recent blockbuster Border 2, released on January 23, 2026.

​It also starred Varun Dhawan, Ahaan Shetty, and singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh. The other star cast included Medha Rana, Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh, and Pranav Vashisht.

​Produced by T-Series and J P Films, this movie is inspired by the real events of the 1971 India-Pakistan War.

​It highlighted the coordinated efforts of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force in defending the nation against the enemy.

​During a press conference, the Border star expressed his gratitude to audiences for their support, which helped turn the film into a massive success after Dhurandhar.

Over the past years, Sunny Deol has made a mark with his notable box-office successes.

​To remind you, his previous film, Gadar 2, was a huge hit, grossing ₹600+ crore, and Border 2's success of ₹430 crore worldwide has added to his stardom.

​After Gadar 2, the recently released Jaat was also a big success, earning ₹100 crore globally at the box office.

When a journalist asked him about the secret of his success, Sunny paaji replied that it is all about hard work, respecting time, and loving your profession.

​However, the most emotional point came when he remembered his late father and the veteran actor Dharmendra.

​According to Sunny Deol, it is his divine grace that makes him a successful actor in Bollywood. His words were “Yeh sab mere papa ki blessings and Waheguru di meher hai.’’

​The Border 2 actor also added that it still makes him happy to receive so much love from his fans.
