Ameesha Patel Responds to Dhurandhar 2 Zakir Khan Controversy

Dhurandhar 2 latest news: Updates on the show seem to be coming in nonstop. According to a recent news update, actress Ameesha Patel has responded to stand-up comedian Zakir Khan's comment that Bollywood was shaken and scared after the colossal success of the Dhurandhar sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge.

Ameesha Patel Dhurandhar: Actress Slams Zakir Khan, Tells Him Not To Spread Negativity

Responding to him on social media, the actress told him not to spread negativity as Aditya Dhar’s directorial has already been valued and cherished by the Hindi film industry.

​Citing examples of bigger stars like Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Sunny Deol, and Hrithik Roshan on her X handle, she said these actors have already delivered major hits before Dhurandhar.

Her words were ‘’Dude, stop spreading NEGATIVITY! The film industry has valued and respected DHURANDHAR! Superstars like SRK, Salman, Sunny, Hrithik, Ajay etc have given not just 1 but 25 plus mega hits and will continue to do so. Chill. Gadar bahut saalon se sabne already machai hain aur aage bhi machaayenge (They have shown their power for several years and will do so in the future as well) (sic)."

Zakir Khan Comments on Dhurandhar 2: What Did He Say?

The comment which triggered controversy started with Zakir Khan’s bold statement on Dhurandhar’s success.

He said "Kitne hi congratulatory post aap daal de, kitne hi story daalde, kitne hi interview mein aap bolde my favourite film, magar sach toh yeh hai ke Dhurandhar se sabki jali toh hai (You may drop congratulatory messages and stories and say in interviews that it's your favourite film but the truth is everyone got jealous of Dhurandhar)."

Adding further, the standup comedian said, ‘’"Bomb film mein foote Lyari mein par dhuan udaa hai Bandra se Juhu mein (There were bomb blasts in Lyari in the film, but there was smoke between Bandra and Juhu)."

Ameesha Applauds Dhurandhar: The Revenge

Before responding to Zakir Khan Dhurandhar comment, Ameesha had earlier praised the film.

Her words on the X post read "Eye opener. Industry Praising DHURANDHAR is wow and the brand deserves all the accolades (applause emoticons) industry needs to realise that ADITYA made a film and not a project, casted actors and not Instagrammars who trend at parties. Stop making projects and start making films (sic)."

Siddharth Anand Also Responds to Zakir Khan’s Dhurandhar 2 Remark

Besides Ameesha, Siddharth Anand, who directed hits like Fighter (2024) and Pathaan (2025) also gave his response to Zakir’s bold statement on Dhurandhar 2 film success.

His statement on X read "Juhu - Bandra peeps have given all ATBB’s (All Time Blockbuster) since the past 50 years. You have to be a real duffer to undermine their contribution."

Dhurandhar 2 Records: How Much Has The Film Earned Till Now

As of day 20, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has crossed over Rs 1,641 worldwide. The film is a sequel to 2025 blockbuster prequel Dhurandhar. It carries forward the story of Ranveer Singh’s character after the death of Rehman Dakait played by Akshaye Khanna.
