Sweaty and emotional, the women in blue celebrated this moment in the middle of the field as children, smiling, crying, and praying.

After all, it was the moment that time could never erase - one that would also define their lives forever.

It was a night they had only dreamt of, and when it was in front of them, it still appeared as a dream for them.

This game-changing moment marks not only a historic win for Indian cricket but also a milestone for women's sports across the country.

Now, with this historic ODI World Cup triumph, India will unveil the undiscovered potential in women's cricket.

Wolvaardt Slog Sweep That Ended In Amanjot Singh’s Hands

During the tournament, the team's unity strengthened as all the players shared fears and joys. There were times when they neared the stage of being knocked out after three consecutive defeats in the league stage.

Steep targets by Australia and the fierce performance of South African captain Laura Wolvaardt posed a big challenge for them.

Yet, they didn't lose hope and did their best in chasing their World Cup title, ultimately winning it.

However, India's journey towards victory was not easy until the dismissal of Laura Wolvaardt, who remained stubborn with her performance in the field.

With South Africa at 220 after 41 overs, the tired South African captain attempted a slog sweep, which luckily ended in the hands of Amanjot Singh, after a short juggle.

Her knockout came as a sigh of relief and reignited the spirit of the Indian team, which later sealed victory on their side.
