Jio Platforms NSE Listing | Shares Closed at Rs 1,417.50

On the NSE, the shares closed at Rs 1,417.50, up 26.67% from the issue price. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs 1,423.90 and rose from the previous day, moving from Rs 12,50,586.39 crore to Rs 13,49,859.74 crore as of October 29. Abhinav Tiwari of Bonanza commented that Jio is not a short-term investment but has significant long-term potential.

Rising demand from institutional investors has boosted the company’s cash flow and profitability. According to Tiwari, Jio was trading at 14 to 15 times FY26 EV/EBITDA. He further said that, based on past earnings, the valuation is much lower than the industry leaders. However, Tiwari said there is still scope for growth.

Tiwari said a preference for expensive plans and service bundling will boost ARPU. He mentioned that Jio’s capital expenditure decreased to 23 per cent of revenue in FY26 from 49 per cent in FY24. He said the only way to improve free cash flow is to spend less while earning more.

Other factors include customers' preference for higher-priced plans, lower interest costs from debt repayment, and licensing of Jio’s 5G and UBR technology. Aishwarya Dadheech of Fident Asset Management said the IPO price is a good entry point, but the listing price reflects greater optimism.
