Saurabh Dwivedi, the popular face of the Hindi digital news platform Lallantop, has resigned after 12 years at  41.

He served as a founding editor of the latter platform and had interviewed several celebrities from diverse fields.

His resignation came as a shock in the Hindi journalism. Saurabh had a long association with the India Today Group, which gave him a wider reach among Hindi-speaking audiences.

Saurabh Dwivedi Bids Goodbye to Lallantop, Sparks Editorial Churn

Saurabh Dwivedi, the founder editor of Lallantop, declared his resignation on X and mentioned taking a long leisure break before deciding on his new move.

He had been a part of India Today Group’s digital platform for a long time. Saurabh served as a Features Editor at aajtak.

Having a bright career in journalism, he had a knack for news reporting that made him one of the most prominent editorial leaders.

Under his leadership as a founding editor, Lallantop rose to a popular digital news platform.

The Vice Chairperson of India Today Group, Kalie Purie, confirmed his departure and personally acknowledged Saurabh’s journalistic craft.

He is credited with elevating Hindi journalism and making it popular among the masses.

After his resignation, Abhinav Pandey will be the new head of the editorial team, and Rajat Sain will lead production.

Lallantop Interview: Celebrities Who Came To His Show

He had interviewed many people on his show called ‘The Lallantop Show’. Among the personalities who came to his show were Yo Yo Honey Singh, who revealed his feud with rapper Badshah.

Other public figures who joined his talk show included Sonali Bendre, Vinay Pathak, Nana Patekar, Anurag Kashyap, Sunil Shetty, Samrat Choudhry, Tejaswi Yadav, Prashant Kishor, and singer B.Prak.

With a series of interviews, Lallantop gained popularity among Indian youth who loved Saurabh’s Hindi reporting and style of asking questions.

More About Saurabh Dwivedi

Saurabh Dwivedi was born in Chamrari Village, Jalaun district, Uttar Pradesh, on April 22, 1983.

At his young age, he had a great interest in Political Science, Hindi, and English. Saurabh was pressurised to pursue his career in engineering, but he chose storytelling, which led him to the path of journalism.

His early education took place at Saraswati Shishu Vihar. After that, he completed his secondary education at a boarding school in Kanpur.

Saurabh pursued his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Allahabad University and Hindi Literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi.

He later studied M.Phil. and PhD. Apart from this, Saurabh holds a postgraduate diploma in Mass Communication from IIMC (Indian Institute of Mass Communication).

The famed journalist is married to his long-time girlfriend, Gunjan and is blessed with a daughter and a son.
