Are You Single? Here's How to Love Your Life Anyway

For singles, this Valentine’s Day must have been a big moment for all those romantic couples who must have enjoyed surprising each other with gifts and proposals, and spending quality time together at a hill station or any other romantic spot.

How about those who are bereft of such joy? Indeed, it is disappointing when there is no one to shower you with love and express the emotions you hope for.

The only company you have left is your close friends, who are there not only to join you but also to cheer you up.

Stop Waiting for Love; Be Emotionally Independent

If you are the kind of emotional person who craves someone’s love and affection, but pretends to be strong and okay in public life, then it’s absolutely fine.

Some people avoid revealing their vulnerability to others, concerned about how others might perceive them. Will they be considered weak?

If you think this way, too, it's somewhat acceptable, but if that particular emotion is draining you, you need to be careful.

Hiding emotions does not mean you have won a battle; it’s just an art of mastering your emotions.

Some pretend to be rough but, inside, crave someone’s love, someone who can read their face and emotions effortlessly.

It is equally common among both genders.

But what if your expectations remain dry as you find no one to join you? In that case, you need to be mentally strong enough.

If you have been preoccupied with craving someone’s attention who would love and care for you, then it's time to wake yourself up from that illusory web of thought.

Live For Yourself

Today, in this world where everyone is content with their lives, it’s time for you to concentrate on yourself.

Stop chasing happiness; instead, find it by engaging in activities that keep you happy and your spirits high.

It can be rafting, rock climbing, trekking, reading, listening to music, or spending time with your family and pet.

Remember, we are all born alone and will leave our mortal coil alone. No loved one of yours is there to accompany you. This is your solo journey.

People will come and go in your life; what remains is your karma, by which people remember you.

Celebrities Who Are Single, But Are Impactful

When discussing singlehood, there are noted personalities who never married, who poured all their energy and focus into achieving their goals through sheer determination and hard work.

Some examples include Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, a renowned scientist and former President of India, and veteran politician Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who is admired for his statesmanship, oratory, and contributions to Indian politics.

Another prominent example is the late Ratan Tata, chairman of the Tata Group. He was unmarried and had no children to carry forward his lineage and business.

But he will remain a legendary business icon for budding entrepreneurs who can learn much from his experience and approach.

You will also find many examples from the entertainment industry. Two of the major mentions include Salman Khan and Akshaye Khanna.

Both are powerhouses of talent, with many memorable performances to their credit.

There is nothing that these two actors cannot achieve. Both are successful but still choose to remain single.

Although they may have affairs, they have yet to find a life partner at this stage of life. Now, call it a choice or something else, but both these actors are enjoying their lives.

In an early interview, Akshaye clarified his single status and explained why he has not married yet.

Here is a video of the Dhurandhar actor. Listen to what he has said on singlehood.

Life is Short, Enjoy Every Moment

You may have come across this phrase or heard it from your elders or a motivational speaker.

Well, this is indeed true to accept because the wheel of time runs rapidly, and with that, our moments also go away.

Hence, it's time you should stop chasing someone for your happiness. Love stories look good in films, but they are far from reality.

For most, it is not necessarily the case. As relationships are falling with the rise in divorce cases, a lack of respect for each other, it has forced people to find peace in solitude.

At least they do not have to go through the toxic relationships that dampen their mental peace and lead them to depression.

Hence, it’s better to lead a single life than to push yourself into a draining situation. In other words, it is far better to be single than to live with someone who makes you feel alone, or pretends to be happy with you but isn't.

You have so much to do without anyone restricting you. You have the key to your life. Don’t waste it on someone ignorant and careless.

Meet lively people with a positive mindset, accompany them, and enjoy their company.

Experiencing this, you'll find happiness was never waiting outside—it was always inside you.
