Ranveer Singh’s spy action thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge is still running at a good pace, breaking the records of films like Bahubali 2, Pushpa 2, Jawaan, Pathaan, Animal, and Kantara 2.

Dhurandhar 2 latest news: Now according to trade website Sacnilk, the movie has surpassed the total worldwide collection of its prequel in mere 11 days.

The first part, released on December 5, 2025, earned ₹1,307.35 crore worldwide.

Dhurandhar 2 Box Office Collection: How Much Did The Film Earned

In contrast to prequel Dhurandhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge made a whopping collection of Rs 1,362.15 crore, including Rs 1,013.15 crore from India and Rs 350 crore from overseas markets.

Dhurandhar 2 box office collection: According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the net collections of Dhurandhar 2 is Rs 847.87 crore across 232, 324 shows.

This made Dhurandhar: The Revenge becoming the fourth-highest grossing movie of all time in India.

Aamir Khan’s Dangal Leads Box Office Chart; Baahubali 2, Pushpa 2 Close Behind

As of now, the Aamir Khan-starrer film Dangal (2016) holds the top spot with Rs 2,070 crore, leaving behind Southern hits Baahubali 2 (Rs 1,788 crore) and Pushpa 2 (Rs 1,742 crore). 

Even though Dhurandhar 2's total earnings have been impressive, it is yet to surpass Dangal’s worldwide total collection. The spy action has only broken its record in the domestic (India) market.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge is the sequel of 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar. The star cast reprise the same role in part 2.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film includes Sanjay Dutt as Chaudhry Aslam, Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, Rakesh Bedi as Jameel Jamali, R Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal, Sara Arjun as Yalina Jamali. She plays the love interest of Ranveer Singh.

Well, in part 2, viewers will get to see the background of Ranveer’s  character Jaskirat Singh Rangi, his real identity as an Indian undercover RAW agent.

Brief About Dhurandhar: The Revenge Story Plot

The story of Dhurandhar: The Revenge begins from its prequel Dhurandhar, wherein we saw Ranveer Singh being sent as Hamza Ali Mazari to infiltrate criminal networks in Lyari, Pakistan.

He joins the group of Rehman Dakait, played by actor Akshaye Khanna, and wins his trust after saving one of his sons.

However, he betrays him later as he coordinates with SP Chaudhry Aslam (Sanjay Dutt) and hatch out a plan to kill Rehman, and stage it as a police encounter.

During the fight in the ambush, Rehman gets bashed up by Hamza and then finally shot by SP Chaudhry Aslam. 

He then acts as his close aide and is seen taking him to the hospital injured with blood-stained clothes. 

His motive behind this was to showcase himself as a hero who tried to save his boss. This chapter of the film is titled as Et, Tu, Brute?. It is a direct reference to the betrayal of Julius Caesar by his close aide.

The movie continues further with Ranveer’s character of Hamza Ali Mazari, with the glimpses of his background as Jaskeerat Singh Rangi. 

In the part 2, he is shown with a mission to seek revenge for the Mumbai attacks while facing bigger threats.

Dhurandhar 2 Review

Ever since its release on March 19, 2026, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has gathered massive attention for its theme, music, and performances. With no major Hindi releases sooner, it continues to dominate box office in the coming weeks too. 

Through this movie, every character is getting noticed apart from the main lead. One such example is Doctor Sunny Ashok, who hardly imagined that his profession will pave him to a cameo role. 

Director Aditya Dhar brought out the best of every actor in this film, making them more popular than before. 

Dhurandhar 2 Controversy

Even though the movie is a colossal hit worldwide, still, it has drawn controversy with allegations of propaganda and hurting religious sentiments.

However, veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan, who is coming up with his latest horror comedy with Akshay Kumar, Bhoot Bangla, has backed the movie, saying it reflects truth, and has nothing to do with political agenda.
