Deepika Padukone was born to veteran badminton player Prakash Padukone and Ujjala Padukone on January 5, 1986, in Copenhagen, Denmark. She has a younger sister, named Anisha Padukone. 

The actress was in a relationship with Ranbir Kapoor but finally married actor Ranveer Singh in November 2018, following family customs. They are blessed with a daughter named ‘Dua’.

Deepika did her schooling at Sophia High School in Bangalore, India. She is well-trained in classical dance, Bharatnatyam. 

The actress had briefly studied at Mount Carmel College, but later left it to pursue a career in modelling.
