Iran Explosions in Sirik and Minab After Fresh US Strikes as Tehran Warns of Retaliation

Iran Explosions Sirik Minab: On Wednesday, explosions were reported in several parts of Iran, such as Sirik and Minab, after the United States carried out more military strikes for a second day.

Tensions increased between Washington and Tehran as Iranian media and local sources said air defence systems were active in several areas and authorities responded.

Iran Explosions Sirik Minab: IRGC Targets US Operations in Jordan, Claims American Aircraft Hit

Iranian state media reported strong explosions at Jordan's Al-Azraq airbase, where US troops are based and American operations are supported.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it targeted the base with 12 ballistic missiles and hit US aircraft.

Early Thursday, the IRGC said it launched strikes on 18 US military targets at airbases in Kuwait and Bahrain.

Reuters reported that Bahrain's Interior Ministry said sirens went off, and Kuwait briefly closed its airspace after reports of incoming Iranian missiles and drones.

US Central Command Strikes Iran:

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) denied Iran's earlier claims that a US warship was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz.

CENTCOM said these claims were false and that no American naval vessels were attacked.

CENTCOM released a video showing cruise missile launches overnight. Earlier, US President Donald Trump said in a Fox News interview that 49 Tomahawk missiles were used to hit targets deep inside Iran.

The strikes happened just hours after Trump and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth warned that Washington was ready to target key Iranian facilities and increase military action unless Tehran changed its approach.

CENTCOM later said US forces started more self-defence strikes on several targets in Iran at 5:15 pm ET, or 3:45 am local time, following orders from the Commander in Chief.

CENTCOM said the strikes were a response to what it called Iran's ongoing and unwarranted aggression.

Air Defence Iran Activated: Explosions Reported Across Southern Iran Amid Fresh Military Threats

Iran Air Defence Systems: After the announcement, explosions were reported in Sirik and Minab, and air defence systems were activated in parts of southern Iran.

Iranian media also reported explosions in other places, such as Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, and Gorgan.

Earlier in the day, Trump suggested that more military action could happen soon.

Iran Military Conflict: Trump Warns Iran of More Strikes, Urges Deal to Avoid Escalation

Trump told reporters in the Oval Office that strong strikes had taken place the day before and that more were expected.

He said Iran would face strong attacks and urged Tehran to make a deal to prevent things from getting worse, calling for an agreement to be signed.

Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth repeated the warning, saying CENTCOM would be "busy tonight" and that the United States was preparing a major military operation.

According to Hegseth, Iran will be hit hard by the US tonight.

He added that the strikes would target important facilities in Iran and would be "strong and clear."

The goal is to achieve military objectives and strengthen Washington's diplomatic position in the region.

Iran Explosions Sirik Minab: Ebrahim Azizi, head of the Iranian parliament's national security committee, later warned that the war would not be limited to the region.

Southern Iran Attacks: Iran Closes Strait of Hormuz After U.S. Strikes, Vows to Target Vessels

Iran Explosions Sirik Minab: After US strikes on targets in southern Iran, Iran's top military command announced on Thursday that the Strait of Hormuz was closed to all ships, including oil tankers and commercial vessels.

The command warned that any ship trying to pass through would be targeted. Soon after, Iranian media reported that Iran's Revolutionary Guards Navy struck two "violating ships" trying to cross the strait.

Commercial ships were still moving through the Hormuz Strait.

This situation marks a major escalation between Tehran and Washington and raises concerns about possible disruptions to global energy supplies and maritime trade.

Iran Attack Latest News: Trump Claims Iran Begged Him to Stop Bombing — Tehran Calls It a Lie

US President Donald Trump told Fox News that US fighter jets were operating over Iran and that he had spoken directly with Iranian officials, who he said asked him to stop the bombing.

Trump said the strikes would end soon, but left open the possibility of more military action if needed. He also said Israel was not involved in the latest US strikes on Iran.

However, Iran's state media quoted a senior official who denied that any Iranian representatives had contacted Trump, calling his claim false and accusing him of using it as a cover to avoid a wider war with Iran.

U.S.-Iran Clashes Persist as Ceasefire Frays and Peace Talks Stall

Iran Attack Latest Update: The United States and Iran have exchanged fire several times since the tentative ceasefire began, even as negotiators have tried and failed to end the three-month-old war.

Trump has often said a deal is close, but there has been no progress, and he has also threatened to resume bombing.

This happened after the US military targeted Iranian air defence and radar sites near the Strait of Hormuz, following the downing of a US attack helicopter earlier this week.

Iran then launched missile and drone attacks on US bases in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain, but US officials said there was no significant damage.

Iran accused the US of targeting water infrastructure that serves several villages and condemned the attacks as violations of international law.

Tehran also warned that further escalation could spread beyond the region.
