Trump Netanyahu News: US President Donald Trump was reportedly angry with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a tense phone call about Israel’s expanding military campaign in Lebanon.

 Meanwhile, Washington tried to prevent the conflict from disrupting sensitive talks with Iran.

 The tense call took place after Israel hit Hezbollah targets in Beirut’s southern suburbs and stepped up ground operations in southern Lebanon. These moves raised fears of a wider regional war and led to new warnings from Tehran.

 Axios reported that Trump accused Netanyahu of making Israel more isolated internationally and putting US diplomatic efforts with Iran at risk.

 Two US officials and another source familiar with the call said Trump called Netanyahu “crazy” and said he was acting without thinking about the consequences.

 A second source said Trump, who was clearly angry during the call, at one point shouted: “What the f**k are you” The confrontation happened after Netanyahu and Defence Minister Israel Katz ordered attacks on Hezbollah-controlled areas in Beirut’s Dahiyeh district.

 Officials said the strikes were a direct response to Hezbollah's repeated violations and attacks on Israel.

 After the announcement, many residents left Beirut’s southern suburbs, fearing a major airstrike.

 Iran, which supports Hezbollah, warned that more Israeli attacks in Lebanon could hurt ongoing talks with Washington to ease tensions after months of conflict.

 Iranian officials have often said that a ceasefire in Lebanon is needed for any broader agreement with the United States.

Trump Rebukes Netanyahu Over Lebanon Attacks, Israel Pulls Back from Beirut

Officials said Trump understood that Israel was responding to Hezbollah rocket and drone attacks, but he thought Netanyahu was making the conflict worse than it needed to be.

One official said Trump was especially upset about the number of civilian deaths in Lebanon and did not agree with large attacks aimed at single Hezbollah commanders.

The call appeared to have an immediate effect. An Israeli official told Axios that Israel canceled plans to strike Hezbollah targets in Beirut.

 Later, Trump said he spoke to Netanyahu and that Israeli troops moving toward Beirut had been pulled back.

 It was also stated that Hezbollah, through intermediaries, had agreed to halt its attacks on Israel.

Netanyahu Latest News: “Our Position Remains the Same,” Says Israel PM

 Benjamin Netanyahu latest update: Following what was described as a highly productive call with Prime Minister Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu, it was announced on Truth Social that no troops would be sent to Beirut.

However, Netanyahu did not change Israel’s overall military approach.

 In a statement after the call, he said Israel would keep operating in southern Lebanon and warned that attacks on Beirut could still happen if Hezbollah kept firing on Israel. “Our position remains the same,” Netanyahu said.

Donald Trump latest news: The clash highlighted the growing tension between the two leaders, even though they have worked closely on Iran and regional security.

One US official called it one of the most heated talks between Trump and Netanyahu since Trump returned to office.

 Officials said Trump was mainly frustrated because he worried the Lebanon conflict could ruin ongoing US-Iran negotiations, which he later said were “continuing, at a rapid pace.”

Iran Threatens to Halt Talks if Israel Continues Lebanon Attacks

Lebanon’s embassy in Washington said the proposed agreement would not bring an end to the conflict.

 The embassy called on Israel to stop its attacks on Beirut and other Hezbollah-controlled areas. In return, Hezbollah would stop launching attacks on Israel.

 On Monday, Iran’s chief negotiator with the US and Speaker of Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, held talks with Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri, regarding Israel.

 In a post on X, Ghalibaf said that during the conversation, he had stressed that if Israel's actions in Lebanon continued, the dialogue process would be halted and stronger opposition would be taken against Israel.

 He also expressed support for the resistance movement, the defence of Lebanon, and the strong ties between the Iranian and Lebanese people.
