Trump Claims US Close to Completing Iran War Goals

While addressing the American masses, President Donald Trump made a statement about the United States nearing its military objectives in Iran, even though talks with Tehran are still on.

As per his speech, that came just over a month after Iran was attacked with airstrikes by the US and Israel, mostly reiterated his early statement in the situation in the Gulf not giving ample details of what may happen next.

Trump's Address on Iran; Hints at Possibility of Further Military Action

The American president suggested the possibility of more military action ahead, highlighting the point about putting Iran into ‘Stone Age’.

He also added that there is still hope for diplomatic talks, mentioning his team staying in touch with unnamed Iranian officials.

Ever since the beginning of the military operation, called ‘’Operation Epic Fury’, Trump has stated about the United States to continue its campaign, until all the military objectives are attained fully.

Assuring American citizens, Trump said that the United States is keeping a track to complete all its military goals, shortly.

These objectives include destruction of Iran’s missile capabilities, crushing its missile production system, foiling its navy and overall security infrastructure, and making it incapable of developing nuclear weapons.

Donald Trump news: In his televised speech, Donald Trump gave a warning that the United States will hit Iran extremely hard in the coming weeks, claiming to put it back to the Stone Age.

He said that within a short time frame, the US military is going to give a massive blow to Iran.

Trump also made claims that Iran’s military power has been weakened with severe damages. He also stated that Iran’s navy is ‘gone’, its air force ‘lies in ruins’ and most of Iran's leadership is also eliminated.

He also mentioned that Iran’s command and control systems, mainly the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, have been destroyed.

Now the country’s ability to fire missiles and drones has also been reduced to a greater extent. Adding further, he also cleared the destruction of its rocket launchers, weapons, and factories.

US - Iran War News: Comparison with Past American Wars

Comparing the current military operation to previous US wars, Trump pointed out that while early wars lasted years, the current military operation in Iran has been shorter, only a little over a month. According to him, Iran is now no longer a threat as its forces are weakened now.

The President also raised concerns about the motive of the US military action. Clarifying on the operation he said that the motive is not to capture Iran’s resources like oil, but to aid America’s allies in the region.

US-Israel War on Iran: US No Longer Need Middle East Oil & Resources, Claims Trump

Trump also highlighted that the United States is now free from the Middle East, and no longer demands Iranian oil and resources. Rather, the US is focusing on providing support to its allies, including Israel and Gulf nations.

He also reassured Americans that the blockade of Strait of Hormuz, the main cause of surge in fuel prices will no longer be a serious issue.

Boasting America with having ample amounts of oil and gas reserves of its own, Trump stated that the US now produces more oil and gas in comparison to Saudi Arabia and Russia.

Middle East War: Trump Thanks Middle East Allies, Pledges to Shield Them From Threats

Lastly, Trump thanked US allies in the Middle East, including Israel, Qatar, Kuwait, and the UAE, and assured them possible protection from any threats, including from Iran.

This was Trump’s first prime‑time address since US‑Israeli strikes in Iran that killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other senior figures.
