PM Modi Meets Middle East Leaders Over Israel–US–Iran War
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently initiated discussions with the leaders of Qatar, Oman, France, Malaysia, and Jordan.
Through the talks, he wanted to express his concern about tensions in West Asia and request the necessary steps to ease them.

Regarding the ongoing US-Iran war, which has also affected Middle Eastern nations, Narendra Modi spoke with the Amir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The Indian Prime Minister assured him that New Delhi stands by Doha and slams strikes on the region’s energy infrastructure.
Modi’s words were ‘’Expressed gratitude for the care and support provided to the Indian community and hoped for peace and stability to prevail in the region. We stand for safe and free navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.’’
King Abdullah II, Jordan

The next world leader with whom Modi spoke was King Abdullah II of Jordan. Addressing him as’ My Brother’, he conveyed Eid greetings to the Jordan leader.
Modi further expressed concern over the evolving situation in West Asia and emphasised the need for dialogue and diplomacy at the earliest to help restore peace and stability in the region.
Condemning attacks on West Asia’s energy infrastructure. According to him, such things can trigger unwanted tensions.
Modi further said that India and Jordan support a steady flow of goods and energy. Adding more, he applauded Jordan’s efforts for the safe return of Indians stranded in the region.
French President Emmanuel Macron, France

According to a post on X, Modi also mentioned his dialogue with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Addressing Emmanuel as his dear friend, he revealed their conversation about the situation in West Asia and the need to lower tensions through dialogue and diplomacy.
Modi also briefed on looking forward to maintaining close coordination to bring peace and stability to the region and beyond.
In response to Modi’s approach, Macron expressed gratitude, addressing him as a dear friend. He further called for close cooperation between India and France in de-escalating tensions in the region and urged diplomacy to bring peace.
Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq, Oman

Regarding the Israel-Iran war news update, Modi also referred to a productive conversation with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, calling him ‘My brother’. He extended advance greetings for EID to the people of Oman.
He said about the agreement on the need for dialogue and diplomacy to reduce tensions and restore peace and stability.
The Indian Prime Minister ensured New Delhi’s strong stance against the violation of Oman’s territorial and sovereign integrity.
