The case came as a shock to the nation. As per complaints, it says that the accused was part of the gang and targeted young women aging between 18 to 25.

So far, nine FIRs have been registered, which includes the involvement of a male employee, who is charged with religious harassment and forced conversion.

TCS Scandal: Eight People Arrested So Far

Around eight people have been apprehended so far. Among these are seven men, whose names are Danish Sheikh, Shahrukh Qureshi, Shahrukh Sheikh, Tausif Attar, Shafi Sheikh, and Raza Memon.

Besides these men, there is involvement of one woman also. According to police, some of these accused misused their higher roles in harassing their co-workers.

An officer also revealed that Nida Khan, the accused woman in this case, discouraged a woman employee in not filing a complaint, and told her that such things do occur.

Office Operations Continue; 60 Employees Onsite Amid Work-from-Home Rumors

Earlier today, the operations at the unit were put on hold, with employees being directed to work from home until further notice.

However, according to sources, it was false, as the office remained operational on Thursday, with 60 employees working.

The office was neither sealed or closed, and employees were being given choices to either work from home or report to office.

TCS Sees Rise in Complaints Due to Enhanced Reporting Systems and Awareness

Sources said the increase in sexual harassment complaints in TCS’s annual reports since 2021 is linked to recent updates in the company’s systems and processes. These updates were mainly designed to make the workplace safer for women.

Because of these changes, employees are now more aware and more likely to formally report complaints under the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) framework.

They also pointed to a trend reflecting growing confidence in grievance redressal structures and better accessibility of reporting channels, rather than a proportional rise in the occurrences of misconduct.

Sources also mentioned that focusing more on sensitisation programmes and employee training has strengthened the internal reporting system. Now, employees can speak up without fear by using official channels.

Ashwini Chainani Arrested in Nashik

Ashwini Chainani's latest news: As per a recent update, Ashwini Chainani, the Assistant General Manager at Tata Consultancy Services, has been arrested with his alleged link in the Nashik TCS sexual harassment and forcible attempt to change the religion of the victims.

So far, there has been no update on the accused, Nida Khan, who is still absconding. These arrests are seen as a positive development in this ongoing probe, now handled by the SIT (Special Investigation Team).

Revealed Facts About Nida Khan, The Absconding Accused In Nashik TCS Case

Nida is one of the accused in the Nashik TCS sexual harassment case and forcible religious conversion of Hindu girls, who worked at TCS-linked BPO office in Nashik.

She is seen as a mastermind behind these alleged religious conversions by the police.

Based on what her family has said, Nida started her job at this BPO in December 2021, as a telecaller not as a Human Resource employee.

Moreover, she was not even part of the senior staff.

While speaking to the media, her father defended her daughter saying she was simply doing her regular job but got into trouble merely for greeting people by saying hello or goodbye.

Nida Khan Educational Qualification

Nida Khan’s upbringing took place in Nashik. She studied here and graduated from the Commerce stream.

​The 26-year-old is currently completing her Master’s degree in Business Administration while working.

​According to her family, her marriage took place this year, after which she moved to Mumbai with her husband. Nida was employed at Malad’s BPO office.

​Earlier, they believed there must be another woman of the same name involved in this case.

​But after learning it was actually her, her family became deeply distressed and anxious about the situation. Consequently, her involvement in the Nashik TCS case is now confirmed.
