RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Says India Is a Hindu Nation, No Constitution Approval Needed
Declaring India already as a Hindu nation, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat says the country doesn’t require any constitutional assent for it. It is a simple truth to accept.
He further said that it will remain a Hindu nation until people adhere to its rich culture and pay reverence to their ancestors.
Addressing a conference in Kolkata, RSS Chief cited an example to prove his point: ‘’ The sun rises in the east, hence there is no mandatory constitutional approval in declaring India as a Hindu nation.
According to him, anyone who calls India their motherland and respects its culture makes the country Hindu.
Till the time a person resides in this country and values its heritage, it certainly makes it a Hindu nation.
RSS Doesn't Need Parliament to Declare India a Hindu Nation: Bhagwat
Bhagwat made it clear that RSS, which has completed 100 years, is a follower of Hindu ideology; hence, it doesn’t find the need for parliament’s approval in declaring India as a Hindu nation through constitutional change.
He also added that birth-based caste divisions do not reflect Hindutva. Bhagwat sternly denied addressing concerns about the RSS being anti-Muslim.
According to him, RSS operates transparently. Anyone in doubt can visit the organisation and shakhas and observe our work.
If they find something biased can sustain their opinion. Or else, they need to drop their false perception of RSS.
Bhagwat added that there is a lot to learn about RSS, but if someone doesn’t want to understand, then no one should be coerced.
