​Besides him, State Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar and legislators Sunil Shinde and Prasad Lal also paid homage to the late singer.

​According to Shellar, her cremation will take place at 4:00 PM on April 13 at Shivaji Park, with full state honours.

​Her son, Anand Bhosle, said those who want to pay their last respects can do so from 11:00 AM at Casa Grande in Lower Parel, where she lived.

​Because of her versatile singing, Asha Bhosle was a recipient of prestigious awards, including the Padma Bhushan and Maharashtra Bhushan Awards.
