PM Modi 76th Birthday: Varanasi Celebrations Begin with NDA Leaders and Seva Sankalp Abhiyan

On Thursday, senior officials and chief ministers from the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance are in Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency, to mark his 76th birthday. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Kashi Wednesday night.

The event also signals the start of the BJP's month-long 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan', which celebrates Modi's 25 years of public service. The campaign will take place from 17th September to 17th October.

NDA leaders expected in Varanasi include Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde; Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also take part in the celebrations.

PM Modi Birthday Celebrations in Varanasi

PM Modi 76th Birthday: The main event in Varanasi is the Seva Sankalp Bike Yatra, during which Rajnath Singh and Yogi Adityanath will lead a rally from Varanasi to Vadnagar, Modi's hometown.

At the same time, a second rally will go from Vadnagar to Varanasi.

NDA Leaders Meeting in Varanasi: Leaders from various NDA parties will take part in the event, including Chirag Paswan and Anupriya Patel of the Apna Dal.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Amit Shah, Gujarat's Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and other leaders will also be at the flag-off in Vadnagar.

Modi was born in Vadnagar, and Varanasi is the constituency which he represents in the Lok Sabha.

PM Modi Birthday Wishes: 76 Vedic Batuks Offer Milk to Ganga on PM Modi’s Birthday

On Thursday, 76 young Vedic students known as Batuks paid milk to Maa Ganga in Varanasi to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 76th birthday.

The event was held in Modi's parliamentary constituency, and participants offered prayers for his health, long life, and prosperity.

Dr Neelkanth Tiwari, the MLA for Varanasi South, took part in the ceremony with 76 students, chanting Vedic mantras and observing traditional customs. The participants also held photographs of Prime Minister Modi and their MP.

Tiwari said that to mark Modi's birthday, they focused on service, spiritual faith, and public welfare; he also said the 76 students performed the Dugdhabhishek of Maa Ganga and prayed for the prime minister's health and long life.

He also said Maa Ganga is at the heart of Kashi's religious and spiritual traditions, and that the rite reflects the city's strong faith and customs.

Many devotees and local residents attended the event.

To mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 76th birthday as part of the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan', the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation carried out a major cleanliness drive at Lata Mangeshkar Chowk on Thursday.

On Thursday, N Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 76th birthday and lauded his 25 years of public service.

He described Modi's leadership as historic and noted his career path from Chief Minister of Gujarat to Prime Minister.

Naidu said Modi's concept of 'Seva, Sankalp and Sushasan' motivates people across India and wished him a long, healthy and prosperous life.

Under the 'Ashirwad Ka Diya' initiative, BJP workers are going to visit the homes of beneficiaries of welfare schemes on September 17, asking them to light a lamp as a sign of gratitude towards the government schemes.

Bhupesh Baghel, former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, objected to allocating government resources and public money for events meant to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday.

PM Modi 25 years in Public Service

In a message on X, the Congress leader said it was entirely acceptable for the BJP to celebrate Modi's 76th birthday and his 25 years of public life.

Yet, he did cast doubt on the participation of various government departments and officials in organising the celebrations.

Baghel said more than 1.5 crore diyas were intended to be set up in Chhattisgarh, with 25 lakh in the city of Raipur and 31 lakh in Raipur district.

He then asked whose budget would pay for the diyas, their wicks, and the oil, and said the department secretaries and collectors should be prepared to justify the expenditure.

Baghel maintained that public funds should not be spent on these things. On Thursday, Murmu wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi a happy 76th birthday and mentioned his record of governance during his 25 years as chief minister and as prime minister.

The BJP is including 25 kinds of service activities as part of ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’, such as blood donation camps and tree-planting drives, and is urging citizens to take part in at least one.

On Thursday, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 76th birthday.

On X, he wished him continued success, good health and many more years of service to the people. He said Modi continues to inspire people worldwide through his ideas and achievements.

Saurav Das, one of the co-conveners of CJP, shared a message said to have been sent by the mother of an Anganwadi worker in Madhya Pradesh, stating that women had been told to gather on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday.

As Das described the account, the workers were allegedly instructed to light a diya, celebrate Modi's birthday and record videos in which they praised him and the various government schemes. The message also claimed it could take action against anyone who did not comply.

Varanasi Gen Z Youth Celebrate PM Modi’s Birthday with Blood Donation Camp

Critics criticised the reported directive and raised concerns about Anganwadi workers' working conditions, citing low wages, heavy workloads, staff shortages, the absence of social security and healthcare, and poor infrastructure.

At the same time, young people from the Gen Z group organised a tribute, similar to a social media post, to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 76th birthday.

At a blood donation camp run by the Gen Z Wing of the Antyodaya Parishad, the young participants referred to Modi as 'OG', 'Greatest of All Time (GOAT)' and 'Legend'.

The campaign took place at the IMA building in Lahurabir, where many young people, including some donating blood forthe first time, took part.

Young people in Varanasi marked Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday with an event called 'Modi's GenZ Blood Squad', where people donated blood.

The Gen Z branch of the Antyodaya Parishad held the camp at the IMA building in Lahurabir.

The organisers said many participants were aged 18 to 22 and that several donated blood for the first time.

The young participants also wished Modi in a Gen Z style, using expressions such as ‘OG’, ‘Greatest of All Time (GOAT)’, and ‘Legend’.

PM Modi 76th Birthday: On Wednesday, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the ‘Harit Ghar – Swasth Samaj’ campaign in Ahmedabad in preparation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday.

The campaign, carried out by the Vishwa Gujarati Samaj, includes a commitment to planting 76,000 kitchen garden saplings.

Patel said that development should go hand in hand with environmental conservation and referred to initiatives such as Mission LiFE, Catch the Rain, and Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.

He also spoke about the state's economic growth, pointing out the expansion of MSMEs and the growing role of GIFT City as a global financial hub.

The 30-day ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ takes place from September 17 to October 17 to commemorate both Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday and his 25 years in public service.

The campaign includes the Seva Sankalp Bike Yatra linking Varanasi and Vadnagar, along with outreach to beneficiaries, service activities, youth programmes, exhibitions, and public meetings.

In Varanasi, both Rajnath Singh and Yogi Adityanath will start the bike yatra, whilst a similar rally will start in Vadnagar.

Events are also planned in various states, with young participants travelling as Seva Yatris and covering 10 states, 193 districts, 773 tehsils and sils, and 1,159 villages.
