Indian Captain Shreyas Iyers Stresses on Better Bowling for the Final Match

Captain Shreyas Iyer has said the team needs a better bowling effort in the final match. The batters will be looking to finish the series on a high and take that momentum into the ODI series. New Zealand will be hoping to build on their win and give their home fans a bit more to celebrate. Glenn Phillips (107 off 49 in the last game) will be a key figure for the hosts and has already scored two half-centuries in the series so will be very important to their batting.

Players at Spotlight | India & New Zealand

IND vs NZ 5th T20 Match Preview: Conway has played in all four of New Zealand's matches to date. With Allen now available, the team will have to work out whether both will play and what their roles will be. Kishan was ruled out of the last match with a minor injury but if he is fit then India may well open with him and rest Abhishek Sharma. Conway still needs to demonstrate to the team management that he is someone who deserves to be in the playing XI. Kishan is in good form so India may well consider him as an opener.

Axar Patel returns to the side having rested during the ODIs and is likely to play a key role for India. He is a tall, quick spinner who targets the stumps and is very difficult to sweep, and he also provides a useful hand in the middle order when the spinners are in. Tim Robinson scored his first T20I hundred against Australia last year, helping NZ to 181 after a difficult start at 6 for 3. He also did very well in the home series against the West Indies in November, scoring at 160.52 in the powerplay.

Robinson is not in New Zealand's T20 World Cup squad but a strong series against India could well provide him with an opportunity if injuries create a gap. It's been confirmed that it will be Ishan Kishan (not Shreyas Iyer) who replaces the injured Tilak Varma. That leaves the No.8 spot between the batting allrounder Shivam Dube and the bowling allrounder Harshit Rana.

Michael Bracewell Unlikely to Become Part of New Zealand XI

Michael Bracewell is still recovering from a calf strain and is unlikely to be in the XI. Glenn Phillips, who missed the last T20I series against the West Indies with a groin injury, should be in the XI and will probably be the man to replace James Neesham. Neesham could still be in the XI if Bracewell is not.

IND vs NZ 5th T20 Pitch Report

IND vs NZ 5th T20 Match Preview: Hamilton’s Seddon Park, the India vs New Zealand 5th T20 venue, has remained the best for bowlers. Recently, it has been noticed that as the match progresses, it becomes very difficult for the rival team to bat while chasing the scoreboard. Looking at the previous three matches played here, we can see that every time the team has defended successfully. Hence, in this coming Sunday's match, whoever wins the toss needs to set a big score and trust their bowlers to defend the target.

IND vs NZ 5th T20 | Winning Probability

Although India is expected to win the upcoming match at Seddan Park, there can be some twists. The match in Auckland was an outlier. At that time, New Zealand had to bank on key players Glen Phillips and Michael Bracewell to post 259, while in the second and third T20Is India kept their score under 200. If we go by estimation, India has a major chance of winning against New Zealand as it is already leading 3-1. Rest, we will have to see in the live telecast on November 1, Sunday.
