Iran Stands Firm on Uranium Enrichment

Iran has rejected pressure from the United States to intercept its uranium enrichment programme, despite new sanctions.

While addressing a public event in Tehran on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran cannot be forced to change its nuclear policy.

He further questioned whether the United States is genuinely committed to resolving the issues discussed in the nuclear talks.

Uranium Enrichment Is Non-Negotiable, Says Araghchi

Addressing international media, Araghchi clarified that uranium enrichment is non-negotiable for Tehran.

​Iran has long faced accusations from Western governments and Israel for encouraging the development of nuclear weapons.

​Confirming the deployment, the US Central Command with Witkoff stated that the carrier group was saving America and had been supportive of President Trump’s ‘Peace through strength’ policy.

Despite the military display, both sides initiated discussions on a positive note.

However, shortly after the discussions, Trump signed an executive order, imposing new tariffs on the nations that still have trade relations with Iran.

Fresh sanctions were also imposed on shipping firms and vessels involved in transporting Iranian oil, underscoring the simultaneous forward movement of diplomatic talks and economic pressure.
