Indian Killed in Kuwait Power Plant Strike, 8 Dead in Attack

A worker from India lost his life after a power and water desalination plant in Kuwait got struck by an Iranian strike early on Monday. It added the death toll of Indian nationals in the West Asia conflict to 8.

As per the recent Iran Israel war update, Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity and Water said in a post on X, a service building at the facility got demolished by Iranian attack.

It condemned the attack as ‘sinful Iranian aggression’ against the Gulf state. Following the incident, technical and emergency response teams rushed to the scene immediately and prevented further damage, plus assuring sustained operations.

Incident Linked to Abu Dhabi Attack on Thursday

The latest death comes after an Indian killed in a strike on the last Thursday incident in the UAE. It all happened when the debris of a ballistic missile stopped over Abu Dhabi fell on an Indian national that caused his death.

The Indian Embassy stated about its close contact with the UAE officials to provide all possible assistance.

During an inter-ministerial meeting on Friday, the government stated about the death of seven Indian nationals and one missing in the Middle East war. The fatal incident on Monday has raised the toll.

Air Raid Sirens Heard in Bahrain

According to an international news organisation in Doha, Qatar, on early Monday, the air raid sirens were heard in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

Noise of multiple explosions were heard by people in Bahrain. Officials say it all happened when the missiles were intercepted.

The ongoing war, which has entered its fifth week, started after Iran faced joint attacks from the United States and Israel. It triggered a broader regional conflict.

Since then Iranian forces have also counterattacked Israel and Gulf nations with drone and missile attacks, targeting US military assets, resulting in casualties and destruction to the infrastructure.

 Despite possible talks by US President Donald Trump, the war has not stopped. Last week, Donald Trump made an announcement regarding a 10-day pause on Iranian energy facilities until April 6.

In return, Iran also threatened its retaliatory action against energy infrastructure across the Gulf, if there are any attacks on its sites.
