Macron Applauds India for Producing CEOs of Top Global Companies
French President Emmanuel Macron has applauded India’s growing influence in innovation on the global stage, citing examples of Indian-origin CEOs leading major multinational firms, from IBM to Microsoft, at the India-France Innovation Forum in Mumbai.

Macron Cites Prominent Examples of Indian Companies CEO’s
What seems worth noticing is the French President's eye for detail. He noted that the CEO of the French luxury brand Chanel, who comes from Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
He praised the region’s contribution to leading India on the global stage.
The other examples Macron mentioned were IBM, Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, Adobe, and Alphabet, whose CEOs are also Indian.
Additionally, he stated that India is not only a participant in global innovation but also a leader.
Macron’s sharp observation and praise for India made Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar smile, who were present at the event.
India Will Shape Global Industries In The Future: Macron
The French leader further stressed that, in the coming years, India will play a significant role in reforming global industries, as its innovation strength rests on a plethora of talented minds and the capacity to generate ideas to meet the needs of the mass population.
On Tuesday, India and France strengthened their ties to a ‘special global strategic partnership’ and committed to deepen cooperation in main sectors such as critical minerals, defence, and trade.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron termed their bonding as a‘ force for global stability’ amid ongoing global tensions.

Hours after Macron arrived in Mumbai early Tuesday for his 3-day visit to India, PM Modi welcomed him for bilateral discussions.
In a media statement, the Indian Prime Minister said the world is going through a difficult period with no certainty.
Hence, in such an environment, the India-France partnership will help bring global stability. This will come to fruition through the combination of India’s scale and France’s expertise.
Modi further said the two nations share a cordial relationship, noting that France is one of India's oldest strategic partners.
In addition, he said that under President Macron, the strategic partnership between India and France has strengthened.
‘Based on this trust and shared vision, our relationship is established as a special global strategic relationship.’
Modi also noted that this partnership is not a strategic initiative; rather, it signals global stability and progress in a turbulent era.
