PM Modi Pays Tribute To Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar On His Death Anniversary

On the eve of Mahaparinirvan Diwas, which commemorates Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar's death anniversary, PM Modi pays tribute to the principal architect of the Indian Constitution. He acknowledged his leadership and commitment to constitutionalism. 

Babasaheb Ambedkar: The Visionary Who Fought Caste Discrimination

Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar is called the chief architect of the Constitution of India. He is honoured for standing up for the rights of Dalits and other marginalised communities and challenging caste discrimination. 

He could relate to the problems faced by the Dalit community as he was also born to a Dalit family in 1891. 

His three prime guiding principles were 

  • Educate: Importance of Education and Removing Social Norms
  • Agitate: He encouraged people to fight for their rights and not to tolerate injustice
  • Organise: Ambedkar always wanted people to get equality in social, economic, and political spheres.

Ambedkar was the recipient of Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour. The day April 14 marks his birthday, called ‘Ambedkar Jayanti’. Posting on X, PM Modi remembered the legendary figure on Mahaparinirvan Diwas, his death anniversary.

He acknowledged his visionary leadership and steady commitment to justice, equality, and constitutionalism. 

With his contributions in upholding human dignity and solidifying democratic values, he became a role model for generations.

Modi also added that his ideals will continue to light the paths towards Viksit Bharat.

Amit Shah Honours Dr Ambedkar, Calls Him the Architect of Social Justice

Besides PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also paid tribute to Dr Ambedkar on social media. 

He called him an architect of the Indian Constitution, who saw education as the only path of social change and empowered the weaker sections and farmers.

Shah also said that Babasaheb empowered India based on equality and unity. His contribution to society will remain an inspiration for many. 

Hence, the nation pays a respectful tribute to him on Mahaparinirvan Diwas.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also commemorated Dr B.R. Ambedkar on X, terming him 'Pioneer of Social Justice'. 

According to him, Baba Saheb's vision, thoughts, and principles are the three pillars of Indian democracy. 

His dream of establishing a society based on fraternity, equality, and freedom, while fighting widespread social evils such as inequality, discrimination, and injustice, is essential even today.

Rajgruha

Rajgruha is a place in Mumbai, where Ambedkar lived for 20 years. In other words, it is the residence of the architect of the Indian Constitution. The building houses a heritage museum related to him.

Dr Baba Sahib Ambedkar Museum

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum is located on Western Pune's Senapati Bapat Road. Founded in 1996, it is one of the prime places dedicated to Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar.

Deekshabhoomi

Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur, Maharashtra, is a holy site of Navayana Buddhism. The place holds utmost importance, as it is where Dr Ambedkar converted to Buddhism, accompanied by his numerous followers on 14 October 1956.
