Cheque Bounce Case: Delhi HC Orders Rajpal Yadav to Surrender

Actor Rajpal Yadav, known for his humorous roles in Bollywood films, is facing legal trouble in a cheque-bounce case.

​According to the latest news update, the Delhi High Court has given direction to the actor that by February 4, he must surrender before the concerned Jail Superintendent.

​The Supreme Court ordered Rajpal Yadav to withdraw the special concessions he had received in multiple cheque-dishonour cases.

As stated by the Delhi High Court, comedian-actor Rajpal Yadav has been a repeat offender in failing to pay the agreed settlement amount.

​Because of this, the court decided to continue suspending his sentence.

​According to Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma, the actor got much leniency from the court for a long time.

​It was based on his assurances that he would settle the dispute by paying the complainant, Murali Projects Pvt Ltd.

​The court said about the suspension of the trial court in June 2024, a time given to the actor to resolve his settlement.

​But despite it, he failed to keep up the promises he made in multiple court orders.

Yadav Misses Deadline, Fails To Pay Crores

Despite receiving clear deadlines multiple times, Rajpal Yadav failed to fulfil his promise to pay his dues of several crores of rupees.

​He also could not make partial payments through demand drafts and instalments on time.

Court Rejects Actor’s Claims of Delays Caused By Technical Glitch

The court rejected the actor's claims on the delay caused by technical or typing errors in the demand drafts.

​It called these claims baseless and unconvincing. No application was filed to fix or explain these errors, despite the court's repeated requests to make payment. He instead sought extra time to escape making a payment.

Rajpal Yadav Surrender: Court Allows Limited Time on Work Grounds

The court further noted that it was in the interest of justice to grant a limited time to actor Rajpal Yadav due to his work commitments in Mumbai.

​The next hearing of the case is scheduled on February 5, 2026. The jail authorities will confirm that the court’s orders have been carried out.
