Medhavi Becomes New Internet Sensation
Medhavi Bidhuri 6-7 Celebration: Cricketers keep finding creative ways to celebrate wickets, and some of these celebrations really stand out.
At the Women’s Delhi Premier League 2026, Medhavi Bidhuri made an impression with her special way of celebrating.
The Delhi leg-spinner showed a gesture that is now going viral called the ‘6-7’ move after she got South Delhi Superstarz batter Nishika Singh out in the match of the tournament for Central Delhi Queens.
The wicket happened in the 16th over when Arushi Goel made a diving catch at mid-wicket. After that, Bidhuri did her special ‘6-7’ celebration. This move has become very popular with fans, especially those from Gen Z and Gen Alpha.
Bidhuri finished the match with bowling figures of 2 for 24 in 4 overs. However, Central Delhi Queens still lost the game by 29 runs.
There is a reason behind this celebration. Bidhuri wanted to wear her jersey number 12, but someone else had already taken it.
Her younger sister suggested jersey number 67, which matched the 6-7’ trend. That idea inspired her way of celebrating wickets.
After the match, Bidhuri said the ‘six-seven’ trend is becoming increasingly popular. She explained that her younger sister, whom she considers like a brother, suggested she wear jersey number 67 and use the gesture to celebrate wickets.
This viral celebration is another highlight in Bidhuri’s journey in cricket.
Medhavi has been playing for Delhi’s teams for a long time. She has even played for Delhi at the Under-19 State level.
She earned a name for herself in last year's Delhi Premier League with South Delhi Superstarz.
While playing the final against Central Delhi Queens, she clinched three wickets for 26 runs in three overs. That helped her team defend 121 runs and win the title by one run.
Her performances have also caught the attention of people beyond domestic cricket. Bidhuri was one of the players registered for the Women’s Premier League 2024 auction. That shows the recognition she has already received.
