Rajesh Sharma Insect Bite: Actor Rajesh Sharma is being treated at a private hospital in Kolkata after his condition became critical, reportedly due to a suspected insect bite sustained while filming the Prabhas-starrer Fauji at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. 

As concerns grow, the All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has called for a swift, transparent investigation, demanding accountability and improved safety for film workers.

Rajesh Sharma Insect Bite: AICWA Demands Probe and Producer Compensation After Incident Involving Actor Sharma 

AICWA posted a statement on X, urging Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to start a full investigation into the incident. 

The association also asked the film's producer to pay for Sharma's medical expenses and called for strict legal action if negligence is found.

Rajesh Sharma Hospitalised: In the statement, AICWA President Suresh Shyamlal Gupta asked if the right emergency steps were taken on set. 

The association also questioned why Sharma was not taken directly to a top hospital in Hyderabad when his condition got worse. 

They questioned whether medical help was available on set, if safety protocols were followed, and what at the shooting location caused Sharma's condition to worsen so rapidly. 

AICWA Demands Investigation

Rajesh Sharma Insect Bite: The All-India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) urges the Honourable Chief Minister of Telangana, Shri Revanth Reddy, to order an immediate, high-level investigation into the incident at the Fauji shooting set at Ramoji Film City. 

The investigation should determine the cause of actor Rajesh Sharma's medical emergency, assess whether proper safety, hygiene, and emergency medical protocols were followed, and determine whether the producer, production house, or any other responsible party was negligent. 

The association also said that if there is any lapse or negligence, strict legal action should be taken against everyone found responsible. 

They added that no individual or production house, regardless of a film's size or budget, should avoid accountability.

Fauji movie Latest News: Sudipa Chatterjee shared an official statement on social media on July 8, saying Sharma was bitten by what was likely a bug or poisonous spider while filming Fauji at Ramoji Film City. 

Rajesh Sharma Insect Bite: The bite reportedly happened after filming ended, while Sharma was talking with local technicians in an area with thick plants. 

At first, it did not seem serious, so Sharma did not seek medical help right away. 

About six hours later, he began to feel severe pain in his right leg and felt unwell. Even as his condition worsened, he still boarded a flight to Kolkata.

Rajesh Sharma Insect Bite: During the flight, Sharma developed a high fever, grew more restless, and his condition worsened. The following day, he was hospitalised at Manipal Hospital in Dhakuria, Kolkata. 

According to Chatterjee's statement, Sharma is still in critical condition and not yet out of danger. 

He has a high fever, trouble breathing, and a fast-spreading infection in his right leg. The infection worsened, spreading from his toes to his knee and causing large blisters. 

Doctors are closely monitoring him and running more tests.
