Donald Trump Calls Giorgia Meloni ‘Beautiful’, During Gaza Peace Summit 2025

In a recent Gaza Peace Summit 2025 held in Sharm El‐Sheikh, Egypt, US President Donald Trump complimented Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s appearance, calling her ‘Beautiful’. 

The US President even asked her whether she would mind saying it. He further acknowledged her political success and her being an esteemed figure in Italy. 

Trump’s Remark On Giorgia Meloni Echoes His Earlier Comment on a Reporter

At the summit, many world leaders gathered to discuss the future of the Middle East, followed by a peace restoration initiative led by Donald Trump. 

The agreement involving Israel and Hamas resulted in the release of the remaining hostages on Monday morning. Besides this, Israel would demilitarise its forces from Gaza. 

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the peace initiative followed after two years of intense conflict in Gaza. Around 68,000 innocents have lost their lives, including women and children. 

Returning to Trump's 'Beautiful' comment about Giorgia Meloni, it is not the first time he has made this remark. 

The US President has earlier singled out a female Irish reporter in 2017. His comment was construed negatively by critics who called that moment 'creepy'.

Turkish President Erdogan Advises Meloni To Stop Smoking

It was not just Donald Trump’s beautiful comment on Meloni that drove everyone’s attention; Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had also greeted her with a broad smile and called her ‘great’ when she stepped down from the plane. 

Besides that, he also advised her to stop smoking, to which the Italian President responded to him by saying, ‘I know, I know, I don’t want to kill somebody.’ 

During this moment, the French President Emmanuel Macron, who was standing nearby, responded with a laugh, saying, ‘It’s impossible’. 

Meloni has revealed in her previous interviews about her habit of smoking, which she has resumed after quitting for 13 years. 

For many internet users, this was the most human moment of the summit.
