Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: Police now believe there may be a new motive in the alleged murder of Pune businessman Ketan Agrawal.

Siya Goyal Wedding Pressure: They suspect his fiancée, Siya Goyal, did not want to marry him but felt pressured by her family to proceed with the wedding.

A senior police official told ANI that the investigation suggests Siya was not ready to marry and only agreed because her family pressured her.

On June 18, Ketan died following a fatal fall into a gorge near Pune's Lohagad Fort. Police now believe he was pushed off the cliff as part of a plan involving Siya and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary.

Both suspects have been arrested and will stay in police custody until June 29. Ketan, who lived in Gahunje and was the director and Chief Marketing Officer of his family's real estate business, Success Group, went to Lohagad Fort with Siya to celebrate her birthday.

The couple were supposed to marry in November. Police said the families had booked a palace in Rajasthan for the wedding, costing several crores, and arranged two private aircraft for guests.

Photos were taken near the edge of the fort during strong winds. An accidental death report was filed, and a rescue team recovered his body after a three-hour operation.

Investigators later found inconsistencies in her story. At first, they thought the fall was an accident, but later it appeared to be a possible murder plot.

Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Sandip Singh Gill said officers considered several factors, including financial disputes and personal relationships.

Gill confirmed that police examined financial and personal matters, which led them to discover Siya's relationship with Pune resident Chaudhary.

Investigators say Siya met Chetan Chaudhary at a Diwali party last year and kept in touch afterward.

Investigators are also looking into whether there was an earlier attempt to kill Ketan four days before his death.

Police say Siya and Ketan visited Lohagad Fort on June 14 and went to the same spot where he later fell.

Ketan's father, Vishal Agrawal, says his son narrowly escaped after being pushed toward the edge and saved himself by grabbing nearby bushes.

When he realised he had been pushed deliberately, Siya quickly raised a false alarm about a snake and claimed she had pushed him to protect him.

Looking back, his father believes there was an earlier attempt to kill Ketan on June 14. Police are also checking if Siya first considered killing Ketan during a visit to the fort on May 31 after seeing him sitting near a dangerous edge.

Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: Another police officer told ANI that authorities are checking for a pattern and whether these incidents were part of a larger plan.

Every detail is being reviewed using technical and forensic evidence. Investigators say the plan was carried out on June 18.

They report that Chaudhary arrived at Lohagad Fort before the couple and later followed them to a secluded spot.

Chaudhary was already at the fort when the couple arrived. He reportedly followed them to a remote area, where he and Siya are accused of pushing Ketan Agarwal to his death in the valley.

Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: Before the fatal trek, Siya and Chaudhary met at a cafe and talked about carrying out the plan at Lohagad Fort.

The two allegedly pushed Ketan into a gorge nearly 400 feet deep, then tried to make it look like an accident.

The local crime branch detained Chaudhary on suspicion. During questioning, investigators said details of the alleged plot came out, which led to Siya's arrest.

Investigators also believe Siya sabotaged a planned pre-wedding trip to Bali.

He says Siya, Ketan, her brother, and Ketan's sister were traveling to Mumbai airport for a flight to Indonesia, with all four passports kept in one pouch.

Siya went back to the car to get her phone at a Lonavala food mall, and when they arrived at the airport, Ketan's passport was missing from the pouch, so they had to cancel their travel plan.

He believes the missing passport was not an accident and thinks it might have been part of a bigger plan.

He said that after the Bali trip was cancelled, Siya argued with Ketan and insisted they visit Lohagad instead. Vishal Agrawal also said Siya's behavior after his son's death seemed suspicious.

Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: According to Ketan's father, Siya showed no emotion or visible sadness when authorities returned his son's remains.

Police have not confirmed these claims, and the investigation is ongoing. By Ketan's father, Lonavala Rural Police registered a case of murder and criminal conspiracy under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
