RSS Mohan Bhagwat NYC Event: In his post on X, the RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh, Sunil Ambekar, stated that the event will be centred on an inclusive Bharatiya ethos, open dialogue and mutual respect.

He gave an invitation to all who are keen to attend and want to become part of the group’s philosophy.

Ambekar further added that the event still follows the RSS tradition of engaging with multiple Indian and international communities to foster understanding and a sense of shared purpose.

RSS Mohan Bhagwat NYC Event: On Wednesday, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani expressed his disapproval of the event but also clarified that the city administration might not have the authority to cancel it.

When Mamdani was asked about whether the event should be stopped, he said he strongly opposes the ideology linked with the RSS.

According to him, the group is pushing a vision that excludes certain people.

His comments generated mixed political responses from India. Some leaders supported him, while others criticised his stance.

RSS Mohan Bhagwat NYC Event: Mohan Bhagwat’s upcoming event in New York has drawn strong support from US singer and actress Mary Millben.

She has even criticised NYC mayor Mamdani, who opposes it taking place at Madison Square Garden (MSG).

According to the African-American singer, Bhagwat’s opponents are influenced by the Modi and BJP haters.

And RSS represents an ideological parent of this ruling political party.

In a post on X, Millben stated that Mamdani and other socialists opposed the event at Madison Square Garden because of their opposition to PM Narendra Modi and the BJP.

She also criticised the political views of Bhagwat’s opponents, arguing that their belief in socialism meant they didn’t understand capitalism.

Millben further pointed out that Madison Square Garden operates under capitalist principles rather than socialist criticism and suggested that the event would still take place.

The 41-year-old singer, who performed India’s national anthem at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington before PM Modi’s address in 2023, urged the New York mayor and his supporters to embrace capitalism, raise funds, rent Madison Square Garden, and organise their own rally to express their opposition to Modi.

She also liked the proposed rally title, ‘Oneness,’ and expressed hope that the event would include meaningful discussions on religious freedom in India.

A well-known African-American Hollywood actress and singer, Mary Millben, is very popular in India for her performances of the national anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’ and ‘Om Jai Jagadish Hare.’

RSS Mohan Bhagwat NYC Event: The website for the event states that Bhagwat, the chief of the RSS, will give a speech in Manhattan on Saturday.

It refers to the gathering on August 29 as the "Universal Oneness Celebration" and states that the event aims to unite the Hindu American community.

The organisers, American Hindus for Engagement and Dialogue, stated that the event receives the support of a number of Hindu American groups and promotes a shared heritage as well as interfaith unity.
