The prime minister said that while many countries are concerned about growth due to resources diverted to conflicts, India stands out as a bright spot.
He said the NDA government has a clear plan for reforms and is focused on providing good governance.
Moving Beyond Licence Raj: PM Modi Highlights Manufacturing Push
PM Modi said the government is encouraging more production by giving incentives. He also said that past governments kept people in a state of scarcity, making them rely on the government for basic needs.
He said the licence raj under earlier governments led to more unemployment, but his government’s production-linked incentives are now creating new opportunities.
India Growth Momentum: Modi Pushes ‘Permitted Unless Prohibited’ Approach
Strong Focus on Governance: Modi explained that the government is not just changing rules but overhauling the entire regulatory system. He believes activities should only be regulated if the law clearly bans them.
The minister said his government is introducing new policy reforms, improving governance, and making life easier for people.
He said they are shifting from a 'prohibited-unless-permitted' approach to a permitted-unless-prohibited' model.
PM Modi Next-Generation Reforms: Flags Shift From PLP to PLI
India Political Stability: PM Modi also said India has left behind the old PLP (Production Linked Punishment) model used by earlier governments and now uses the PLI (Production Linked Incentives) system.
He said that even small changes in Indian Railways, the Delhi Metro, and the Namo Rapid Rail show that the country is staying up to date.
He also pointed out that in the past, people needed permission to map India, even though foreign satellites could do it, but his government has changed this rule.
India Governance Latest News: Modi Hails Border Infra, Affordable Data
India Political Stability: Modi also said the government now sees border infrastructure as a strength and has made big improvements along the borders.
He added that India now offers the world’s cheapest data and is making affordable, high-quality mobile phones.
PM Modi Highlights Important Reforms, Including Shanti Bill
The Prime Minister highlighted major reforms, including the Shanti Bill, which opened the nuclear energy sector to private companies, and the restructuring of more than 40 ordnance factories into seven new corporations.
He said these measures had strengthened India’s self-reliance and increased defence exports 55 times since 2014.
He said Ease of Living reforms had become part of everyday life, with digital tools such as online grocery shopping, QR code payments and instant money transfers making daily tasks faster and easier.
PM Modi: India’s Digital Reforms Still Ahead of Developed Nations
India Political Stability: The Prime Minister noted that many conveniences now enjoyed by India’s middle class remain unavailable in some developed countries. He said India’s reforms had significantly transformed people’s lives.
Highlighting India’s digital revolution, he pointed to affordable data, rapid 5G rollout and Aadhaar’s integration with mobile and banking services.
These developments, he said, had simplified processes such as opening bank accounts and filing taxes.
He also highlighted e-Sanjeevani, which has enabled nearly 50 crore tele-consultations and brought healthcare to patients who once had to travel long distances.
PM Modi Highlights Digi Yatra, FASTag as Examples of Long-Term Reforms
The Prime Minister also praised Digi Yatra at airports and FASTag on highways, saying they had made travel smoother, saved time and improved daily life for millions.
He stressed that meaningful reforms should focus on long-term benefits rather than short-term political gains.
PM Modi Pitches PM Surya Ghar as Long-Term Solution Over Short-Term Power Subsidies
Citing PM-KUSUM and PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, he said the government had chosen sustainable solutions over simply promising free electricity.
Rooftop solar support has already benefited more than 50 lakh families, with the aim of bringing solar power to more households.
He said the Surya Ghar scheme can help families reduce electricity bills and earn income by selling surplus power to the grid. He added that its benefits would continue beyond election cycles.
The Prime Minister said reforms would continue to improve Ease of Living and Ease of Doing Business for youth, women, farmers and the middle class, helping India move towards becoming a developed nation and contributing to global stability.
