Manushi Chhillar on NEET Paper Leak: As protests about the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak spread across India, actor and former Miss World Manushi Chhillar spoke out in support. She shared that she had to retake the entrance exam twice because of the 2015 paper leak.

Reflecting on her own experience, Manushi described it as deeply traumatic and said she understands the emotional and mental challenges students are facing today.

Manushi Chhillar Instagram Post: On Thursday, Manushi posted on Instagram to support students protesting the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak.

She shared that she had to take the medical entrance exam twice after the 2015 paper leak and described the experience as deeply traumatic.

Manushi said education is the greatest equaliser and explained that asking for reforms does not mean rejecting institutions.

She believes democracies become stronger when they listen, learn, and improve, and that each generation should help build a better system.

Manushi Chhillar on NEET Paper Leak: In her post, Manushi remembered the emotional turmoil she went through because of the paper leak and hopes authorities will bring real reforms so students do not have to face unfair obstacles while pursuing their dreams.

She has always believed that education is the biggest equaliser in an unfair world.

Manushi Chhillar gave NEET Twice: Responding to those who say students should just retake the exam, she pointed out that this view ignores the emotional and personal cost. She recalled taking the exam twice in 2015 because of a paper leak.

For her, the exam represents years of hard work, sleepless nights, sacrifices, and dreams.

She added that while students accepted the system's flaws and moved on in the past, they now expect real change after ten years.

Only those who have spent years preparing for the exam, or families who have made big financial sacrifices, truly understand the dream of becoming a doctor.

Similar protests have taken place in cities like Mumbai. On Thursday, CJP founding president Abhijeet Dipke urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to accept the education minister's resignation and warned that protests would continue if this demand was not met.

Meanwhile, educator and activist Sonam Wangchuk, who had been on a hunger strike for more than 20 days to support students, ended his fast early Friday morning.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said those accused in the NEET paper leak have been arrested and that the government is setting up fast-track courts to speed up the case.

About Manushi Chillar

Manushi Chhillar, born on 14 May 1997, is an Indian actor and model. She first gained national attention by winning Femina Miss India 2017 as Haryana’s representative and later became the sixth Indian woman to win Miss World.

Manushi grew up in Rohtak, Haryana, in a family of doctors. Her father, Dr Mitra Basu Chhillar, works as a scientist at the Defence Research and Development Organisation, while her mother, Dr Neelam Chhillar, teaches neurochemistry.

She attended St. Thomas' School in New Delhi and was the top scorer in the CBSE English exam in Class 12.

She cleared both the All India Pre-Medical Test and NEET on her first try and went on to study MBBS at Bhagat Phool Singh Medical College in Sonipat.

Manushi is also trained in Kuchipudi dance. She began her pageant journey in 2016 with Campus Princess, then won Femina Miss India Haryana and the national title in 2017.

At Miss World 2017 in Sanya, China, she performed well in several challenge events and won the crown.

Through her Beauty with a Purpose project, Project Shakti, she raised awareness about menstrual hygiene and reached over 5,000 women in nearly 20 villages.

After winning Miss World, Manushi became the brand ambassador for campaigns such as Anaemia Free Haryana and received several awards.

She represented India at international humanitarian events and worked on projects supporting women's health and education.

She has worked with leading brands and appeared on the covers of many fashion magazines. Later, she started acting and made her Bollywood debut in Samrat Prithviraj (2022) with Akshay Kumar.

Since then, she has acted in films like The Great Indian Family, Operation Valentine, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
