Ramayana Delhi Trailer Launch: The Delhi launch of the new film Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, and Yash was full of energy and brought the epic to life.
Ramayana Director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra transformed Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi into Ayodhya, complete with a palace-style stage and traditional Awadhi, Rajput, and Marwari dishes.
The cast, including Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, shared stories about making the film and its upcoming release.

Ranbir Kapoor Ramayana: A special moment came when Arun Govil, known for playing Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana, stood beside Ranbir Kapoor, who takes on the same role in the new film.
Ramayana Delhi trailer launch: Seeing them together made the audience feel nostalgic and excited. Ranbir told Arun he would do his best to honour his legacy in the movie.
Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram
Ramayana Delhi trailer launch: Ranbir Kapoor said Arun Govil played Lord Ram with grace, honesty, and dignity. He also said that Govil’s work inspired not just actors like him, but everyone who grew up watching Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan.
He said Govil’s performance inspired faith in millions. Ranbir hoped that if he could show even a small part of the values and spirit Govil brought to Lord Ram, he would feel successful.
He shared that he grew up with Lord Ram’s teachings and that Govil’s role left a strong impression on him. Ranbir also said that people see Govil as one of their own.
He announced he would play Ram’s father, King Dashrath, and it drew loud applause from the crowd.
Sunny Deol as Hanuman
Ramayana Delhi Trailer Launch: Another big moment was when Sunny Deol, who plays Lord Hanuman, and Yash, who plays Ravana, were invited on stage as a surprise at the end.
Sunny Deol thanked the filmmakers for choosing him to play Hanuman and said he has only finished a small part of his scenes so far.
He has just started working on the film and still has much to do. Calling the Ramayana one of the most important epics for Indians, Sunny thanked Waheguru for the chance to play Hanuman.
Sunny said playing Hanuman is not easy, but he is excited for the challenge.
He explained that Hanuman stands for playfulness, innocence, great strength, and deep devotion to Lord Ram, and is loved by many.
The evening also included a performance by sitarist Rishab Rikhiram Sharma, who announced he will make his Bollywood debut with the film’s music.
Guests included Karan Johar, Saina Nehwal, Apoorve Mehta, Ramdev Baba, and others.

Release Date of Ramayana Part 1
Ramayana Part 1, the highly anticipated project, is set to release on 8 November 2026. The second part of the franchise is planned for Diwali 2027.
Fans are eager to see Ranbir Kapoor play Ram, especially after his intense role in Animal, and Yash take on the part of the fierce Lankan king Raavan.
Many fans are also looking forward to Sunny Deol in the role of Lord Hanuman, evoking memories of Dara Singh in Ramanand Sagar’s classic Ramayana.
It remains to be seen whether Sunny Deol will be able to recreate the excitement ofHanuman’s role as Dara Singh once did.
All eyes will also be on Ranbir Kapoor, who is playing the lead in the epic film, Lord Ram. Like Dara Singh as Hanuman, people still have the image of Arun Govil as Lord Ram.
The 68-year-old actor now plays Raja Dashrath. Well, it is obvious that he will again have an influence in his new role.
Rest, Ranbir has to prove his prowess in playing a mythological character and win the audience's heart with his role of Ramayana’s main hero.
