Salman Khan Paper Leak Video: Bollywood actor Salman Khan was one of the first big film stars to speak out about the alleged NEET paper leak and the nationwide protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Wednesday night. He showed his support for the students protesting the issue.

Calling paper leaks a "very serious issue," Salman said he was worried about the students hurt during the July 20 demonstrations and emphasised that the main focus should be on improving the country's education system.

His comments led to a lot of discussion online, with many people remembering an old story his father, Salim Khan, once told about leaked exam papers from Salman's school days.

Salman Khan Viral Old Video: Many fans also recalled a story that veteran screenwriter Salim Khan shared during a 2020 appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show with Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, and Sohail Khan.

Salim shared that there was once a man named Ganesh who always received special treatment when he visited their home.

Family members would say things like, "Ganesh aaya hai," "Ganesh ko chai pilao," and "Ganesh ke liye kursi le aao baithne ke liye."

Salim said he was curious about who Ganesh was, since he seemed to get more respect than anyone else in the house.

He later found out the reason for Ganesh's importance, saying, "Pata laga jab exam ka paper leak hota tha, woh inko laake deta tha" (He later found out that Ganesh used to bring leaked examination papers to them), which made the audience laugh.

The audience laughed, and Sohail Khan joked that family secrets were coming out.

When the old clip started making the rounds on social media, some internet users called the actor a hypocrite.

Another user on X commented, "Internet is a bloody damn karma place." Some people saw the incident as an example of celebrity hypocrisy.

One user said, "India is a comedy country. Here you can leak paper and then make jokes about it (more importantly without consequences). If at all, youth should be angry over this, but everyone in the show was laughing."

Earlier on Wednesday, Salman Khan posted a statement on his social media accounts supporting the students.

He called the alleged paper leak a serious concern and praised the students for peacefully demanding a better education system.

Salman Khan described the movement as initially peaceful and expressed sadness that it had turned violent.

He extended his sympathies to the injured students and their families, calling the alleged paper leak a "very serious issue."

Salman emphasised that the issue should remain focused on students and the education system rather than becoming politicised.

He also expressed hope that the government would support the students' demands and work towards strengthening the country's education system, calling it a "win-win situation" and saying he hoped for a positive outcome.

The actor also expressed his hope that education would become increasingly valued in India and said the country has the potential to emerge as a global education hub.

The actor concluded by expressing hope that education would become increasingly aspirational and fashionable with each passing year, adding that India should evolve into a global education hub that attracts students from around the world to study in the country.

Paper Leak Protest in India

Salman's statement came a few days after police clashed with protesters during the 'Chalo Sansad' march in New Delhi, where people called for Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to resign over the alleged exam irregularities.

The actor joined other film personalities like Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Shabana Azmi, Prakash Raj, Rajkummar Rao, Revathy, Tovino Thomas, and Anurag Kashyap in supporting the protesting students.

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)'s movement gained momentum after the alleged NEET paper leak controversy, which is believed to have affected more than two million medical aspirants across the country.

Public outrage grew further after reports of student suicides, with many linking the tragedies to the examination crisis.

CJP Protest: Why Students Want Dharmendra Pradhan's Resignation

Among the protesters' main demands are the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Rs 1 crore compensation for the families of students who died by suicide, and the release of activist Sonam Wangchuk, who was admitted to a hospital while on an indefinite hunger strike.

On July 20, thousands of students and supporters joined the 'Chalo Sansad' march in Delhi.

The protest turned violent when clashes broke out with police, who used tear gas and batons to disperse the crowd.

Even after the crackdown, protests have continued in Delhi and other parts of the country, and the movement is still going strong.
