Sonam Wangchuk Reacts to Salman Khan: In June 2024, Sonam Wangchuk began an indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, supporting the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and calling for Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Education Minister, to resign over alleged leaks of the NEET exam paper.

In July, the Delhi Police took Wangchuk first to Safdarjung Hospital and then to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, as directed by the Delhi High Court. Even though he had been transferred, Wangchuk continued with his hunger strike.

Salman Khan Social Media Post: When the protests were at their peak, actor Salman Khan posted on social media calling on Wangchuk to end his fast.

The post became highly popular shortly afterwards. Later on, Wangchuk received a T-shirt that read "Sonam, it's done, bro," and commented on the actor's remark during Prakhar Gupta's podcast.

The film Maatrubhumi, directed by Salman Khan, might not be released this year, the report says, since the filmmakers are still dealing with the Ministry of Defence over the concerns, particularly those regarding scenes involving China.

The film Maatrubhumi, directed by Apoorva Lakhia and featuring Chitrangada Singh, has already made headlines due to its changed title and uncertain release date.

According to the most recent report, the ongoing difficulties have made it hard for the team to decide on a release date.

As reported by Bollywood Hungama, a source in the industry stated that the film's problems remain unresolved.

Even if the issues are resolved in the near future, it will be difficult to secure a suitable release date, as all the principal dates have already been booked.

This source also noted that although many film directors release their movies on the same day, Salman Khan generally avoids such scheduling conflicts.

The report also stated that Dussehra could remain a possible release date if the outstanding issues are sorted out in time.

According to an insider who spoke to the publication, Dussehra this year will fall on Tuesday, October 20.

The day before Dussehra normally sees a large number of people attending, which could allow Maatrubhumi to have a five-day weekend at the box office. This insider also said that Ramayana might be shifted to October 30.

As there are no major films scheduled for release until late November, that period would be suitable for Maatrubhumi.

The insider added that the decision had not been made suddenly. From the very beginning, the team had listed both Battle of Galwan and Maatrubhumi as possible titles.

As the film progressed, they came to the realisation that the story was not only about one battle but also explored themes such as humanity, empathy, and the less visible struggles soldiers experience.

As of now, no official release date has been announced for the movie.
