Opposition Calls Delhi AI Summit 2026, a PR Show

Criticising the Delhi AI summit, the opposition party, Congress, has termed it a disorganised PR show. It further alleged that the event showcases Chinese products.

The remarks came after a controversy involving Noida-based Galgotias University, which was accused of presenting a commercially available Chinese robot as its own creation at the Summit.

During a recent event, Galgotias University stated about facing an unfair treatment when asked to pack up at the AI Summit venue in Delhi.

The university later claimed the incident was due to a misunderstanding and denied any wrongdoing.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said on social media that, rather than highlighting India’s talent and data, the AI Summit appears more like a haphazard PR spectacle, with an emphasis on Chinese products.

According to a post on X, the opposition party criticised the Modi government for mocking India on the global stage regarding AI.

AI Will Shape the Inclusive Growth, Says PM Modi

The technology will also benefit students in small towns, informal workers, farmers in villages, and youth in rural and urban areas.

AI Delhi Summit Date Extended
