After his speech in Israel’s parliament, Knesset, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a short car ride with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Benjamin Netanyahu and Modi Share a Car Ride

Both were heading towards a tech exhibition after their official speeches. Netanyahu even posted a picture with the Indian Prime Minister and wrote in Hindi, ‘Hum Saath Aage Badh Rahe Hai’, we are moving forward together (in English).

It reflected the strengthened ties between India and Israel in the fields of technology and innovation.

Modi Statement in Israel’s Knesset

Modi had earlier spoken in the Knesset about the long friendship between the two nations.

He expressed a great honour at the prospect of addressing the Israeli parliament and emphasised the goodwill between the peoples of both nations.

According to the latest India-Israel news, Modi even received the highest honour, the Speaker of the Knesset Medal, in recognition of his role in strengthening ties between India and Israel.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his two-day visit to Israel on Wednesday. It is said to be his second visit after 2017.

PM Modi Reaffirms India-Israel Ties In Security and Advanced Technologies

During his visit to Israel, the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, reaffirmed his commitment to bolstering ties across multiple sectors, including security, artificial intelligence, and advanced technology.

​While addressing the Knesset, he added that the two countries will cooperate to enhance trade and investment flows and to encourage joint infrastructure development.

According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India, cited by a news media outlet, total trade between India and Israel was $3.6 billion in the last fiscal year.

Netanyahu Thanks PM Modi for Early Support After October 7 Hamas Attack

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu expressed gratitude to PM Modi for backing Israel after the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.

According to him, he was one of the first global leaders to do this.

While speaking at Knesset, Israeli PM's words were ‘’You didn’t flinch. You didn’t waver. You didn’t give excuses. You stood next to Israel. You stood by Israel.’’

He further added that Narendra Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to have visited Israel in 2017.

The Israeli PM also returned the gesture by visiting India the following year.
