What makes Japan Prone to earthquakes?
Following this news of a severe earthquake in Japan, a question arises: what makes this country so prone to earthquakes?
The answer to it is that Japan is indeed one of the most earthquake-prone nations in the world. Hence, it is common to expect the tremors every five minutes.
Regarding the reason why it happens. It is because the location lies within the ‘Ring of Arc’ of volcanoes and oceanic trenches encircling the Pacific Basin.
