Trump Shares Video as US Attacks Isfahan Nuclear Site

On Tuesday, after reports about US-Israeli airstrikes targeting military infrastructure in Iran’s Isfahan emerged, US President Donald Trump shared a video of a massive explosion.

​The video, posted soon after the reported airstrikes on Trump’s social media platform without a caption or context, shows the sky lit up by multiple blasts at night, followed by fires and smoke.

​The video’s originality has yet to be verified independently.

According to media reports, following the initial strikes, the targets included a major ammunition depot in Isfahan, an Iranian city with an estimated population of 2.3 million.

​This city houses critical sites linked to the military and nuclear programs. These include facilities related to Iran’s nuclear programme and the Badr military airbase.

Recent reports say Iran may have moved more of its highly enriched Uranium, about 540 kg, to underground sites in Isfahan.

​A day before the Isfahan incident, Donald Trump had threatened Iran to prepare itself for widespread destruction if it did not pay heed to the deal.

​If Iran ignores the deal, the United States will destroy Iran’s energy and nuclear infrastructure.
