He said it is understandable that people felt angry about the alleged remarks, especially those attributed to young women.

But he emphasised that guiding students is more important than subjecting them to lengthy legal cases or public shaming.

PM Modi Forgives Students: A girl accused of using abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Jantar Mantar protest in Delhi on July 23 has reportedly apologised for her words.

In a video message, she said she was influenced by others at the protest and admitted to making inappropriate remarks about the Prime Minister, according to NDTV, India Today, and other media outlets.

In the video, she said this was her first and last mistake.

The FIR says she is 25 years old, but in her apology video, she claims she is only 15.

The video has been widely shared on social media, but HT could not confirm if it is authentic.

She also apologised to the country, said she was deeply ashamed of her actions, and asked for forgiveness.

A complaint about her remarks was filed at a Noida police station on Wednesday. Noida Police registered a Zero FIR and then sent the case to the Parliament Street Police Station in New Delhi.
