PM Modi Action Against Paper Leaks: After several days of student protests, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday that the government will create fast-track courts to quickly and strictly punish those behind exam paper leaks.

Fast-track Courts for Exam Leaks: In a post on X, PM Modi said the government will set up fast-track courts to quickly and strictly punish those involved in paper leak cases.

He also said that officials have been told to do everything needed to make this plan happen.

The Prime Minister also mentioned that setting up fast-track courts is just one of several steps the government is taking to prevent and address the issue.

Paper leak Latest Update: By making the announcement himself, the Prime Minister is showing that the government wants to connect with students and respond to public anger about the issue.

PM Modi Action Against Paper Leaks: In fact, on Tuesday, at a meeting with National Democratic Alliance (NDA) lawmakers, he urged MPs to reach out to young people and hear their concerns.

PM Modi also said that anyone involved in paper leaks should receive the toughest punishment.

Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) Response to PM Modi; Demands Pradhan’s Resignation

Strict action against Paper Leaks: The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), which is leading the protests at Jantar Mantar, responded to the Prime Minister's announcement by once again asking Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to step down.

The satirical group posted on X, saying Pradhan should leave his position.

The CJP began the July 20 protest over the NEET paper leak, which picked up momentum when activist Sonam Wangchuk started an indefinite hunger strike.

PM Modi Action Against Paper Leaks: The protest intensified after police removed Wangchuk from Jantar Mantar and took him to the hospital. Later, Wangchuk released a handwritten note calling the incident an illegal detention.

Police also broke up a student march to Parliament on Monday. An earlier HT report said Delhi Police and the Rapid Action Force (RAF) used lathis, tear gas, and electric batons to disperse the crowd. Several students and security personnel were injured.

Authorities said some protesters targeted the media and security forces during the march.

Rahul Gandhi and other Opposition leaders held a sit-in outside the Prime Minister's residence at Lok Kalyan Marg, after which police detained them.

Exam Fraud in India: At a press conference on Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi asked Prime Minister Modi to apologise to the students who were allegedly assaulted by police.

PM Modi Action Against Paper Leaks: He repeated the Opposition's call for Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to resign, saying the minister had failed to manage the country's education system and accusing him of incompetence and possible involvement in the controversy.

Rahul Gandhi also said the police officers involved in the lathi-charge against student protesters should be held accountable.

He described both the minister's resignation and accountability for the police action as essential steps to resolve the crisis.s.

The Congress leader also said there have been 152 paper leak incidents since the BJP-led NDA took power in 2014, affecting nearly 75 million students.

He claimed this means there has been about one paper leak every month over the past ten years.

In response, Union Health Minister JP Nadda said the matter was under investigation and promised that the government would carry out a thorough probe and share the findings with the public once the investigation was finished.

Amid the ongoing CJP issue, singer, actor, and TV host Aditya Narayan shared his views on examination system reforms.

In an Instagram post, he stressed the need to protect merit, fairness, and equal opportunity in India's exam system.

He said students who dedicate years of hard work deserve transparency and accountability when exam-related failures occur.

Aditya called paper leaks a serious blow to public trust and urged authorities to provide timely updates, identify those responsible, and prevent future lapses.

He added that restoring trust requires swift action, honesty, and a commitment to safeguarding the dreams of millions of students.
