Sonam Wangchuk 3 Conditions: While in the hospital, Sonam Wangchuk outlined three conditions under which he might end his hunger strike.

He said he would stop fasting if the central government accepted responsibility for recent issues in the education system, especially the reported exam paper leaks.

If that did not happen, Wangchuk said he and the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leaders should be allowed to go to Parliament to present their demands directly to Members of Parliament and leaders of other parties.

He also said he would end his fast if he and the CJP leaders could reach Parliament and secure promises from MPs and party leaders to raise the issue during the Monsoon Session.

Sonam Wangchuk Hunger Strike: As a third option, Wangchuk said if he could not travel to Parliament due to his health or other reasons, he might end his hunger strike if Members of Parliament and party leaders visited him at Safdarjung Hospital and promised to raise the issue in Parliament.

The note was posted on the 59-year-old's X account on Monday, July 20, the same day the CJP planned to march to Parliament.

He said he would end his hunger strike that day if any of the three conditions were met. The march was also set to begin on Monday.

Sonam Wangchuk Demands: Wangchuk's hunger strike and the CJP's larger protest have one main demand: that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resign over alleged problems with the NEET exam.

Earlier, in a message sent by his wife Gitanjali Angmo from Safdarjung Hospital, Wangchuk asked his supporters to help make the CJP's planned march to Parliament successful.

Sonam Wangchuk Latest News: The Delhi High Court will hold a special session today at 2:30 PM to hear a petition from Dr Gitanjali Angmo, who is married to activist Sonam Wangchuk.

She is challenging the Delhi Police's decision to move Wangchuk from the Jantar Mantar protest site, where he had been on a hunger strike for over 20 days, to Safdarjung Government Hospital.

Angmo has asked the court to let her transfer him to a private hospital, saying she does not trust Safdarjung Hospital.

Sonam Wangchuk 3 Conditions: Wangchuk's wife said she had "lost faith" in Safdarjung Hospital. She said hospital staff told them his potassium level had dropped to 2.9, calling it "alarming" and "life-threatening."

She also noted that the hospital's public health bulletin did not mention the exact potassium level and only referred to "decreasing potassium levels."

Angmo added that an independent lab test showed Wangchuk's potassium level was 3.5, which they said is within the normal range.

She said that even after several requests, hospital authorities would not discharge Wangchuk or allow him to transfer to a private hospital of his choice.

She said about 30 police officers were on the hospital floor and more than 100 were posted throughout the hospital, making things very difficult for those with him.

Sonam Wangchuk Latest Update: Wangchuk's wife described the situation as "illegal detention" rather than medical care.

She said that if anything happens to him, the hospital authorities and the government should be held responsible.

The petition asks the court to declare that keeping Wangchuk at Safdarjung Hospital is unconstitutional.

It also requests his immediate release and transfer to a hospital of his choice and that of his family.

The petition also asks that his lawyers and the doctors who treated him during the hunger strike be allowed to visit him freely.

It requests that no medical treatment be given without his informed consent, or if he cannot give consent, without his wife's consent.
