PM Modi Operation Sindoor: PM Modi Highlights India's Defence Power During Australia Visit

PM Modi Operation Sindoor: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the Indian community in Melbourne on Thursday. 

He pointed to Operation Sindoor as evidence of the country's growing military strength and said the world noticed India's determination when explosions at terror camps were heard globally.

The Prime Minister talked about India's anti-terror operation after the Pahalgam attack and said the country showed it would respond firmly to terrorism. 

He told the crowd at Marvel Stadium, "The world is witnessing the capability and credibility of India's defence platforms."

He asked the audience if they felt proud when India launched a strong strike against terror camps during Operation Sindoor. 

He said the explosions at the terrorist hideouts were heard worldwide, and the crowd cheered and applauded.

PM Modi Operation Sindoor: Modi added that 21st-century India is moving steadily toward becoming a developed nation, driven by the hopes of its 1.4 billion people. 

He also talked about 'Make in India' and said Indian-made products are now accepted and recognised globally.

He said that in the past 12 years, 'Make in India' has become a global brand. 

Modi noted that Indian mobile phones and electronics are now sold in other countries, and Indian cars and medicines are available in markets worldwide.

He said that after one dream is achieved, another begins, and reaching a goal brings even more determination.

PM Modi Operation Sindoor: Describing India as a country that always strives for growth and achievement, Prime Minister said India is now the fastest-growing major economy and aims to become one of the top three economies soon. 

He called India a nation of 1.4 billion ambitious and driven people, and repeated that the goal is to reach the top three economies as soon as possible. 

The Prime Minister highlighted India's technological progress, noting that the country is now the world's second-largest 5G market and is rapidly developing its own 6G technology. 

He also thanked the Indian community, saying the warm welcome from everyone, including their Australian friends, was wonderful. He added that Melbourne had, in a way, stolen the show.

PM Modi Melbourne Address: Praises Indian Diaspora in Melbourne, Thanks 'Friend' Albanese 

India-Australia Relations: PM Modi also thanked Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, calling him "India's friend" and remembering that they had shared the stage in Sydney before meeting again in Melbourne. 

He said the Indian diaspora has helped strengthen India's image worldwide while staying closely connected to its culture. 

He added that Indian traditions are thriving abroad, with more spiritual and cultural events like Satyanarayan Katha, Ardas at gurdwaras, Bharatanatyam and Bhangra performances, cricket tournaments, and the upcoming Indian Film Festival in Melbourne.

A Brief Recall of Operation Sindoor

PM Modi Operation Sindoor: The Indian Army recalled Operation Sindoor on the first anniversary of the Pahalgam terror attack and reiterated its strong message against terrorism.

The Army shared a post on social media stating that when the “boundaries of humanity are crossed, the response is decisive”, adding the message: “Justice is served. India stands united.”

The post was accompanied by an Operation Sindoor graphic carrying the message: “Some boundaries should never be crossed. India does not forget.”

The report recalled that on April 22, 2025, terrorists attacked Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, killing 26 civilians. The attack shocked the nation and triggered widespread condemnation.

In response, Indian armed forces launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, 2025, targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK).

National Security Strategy: The Army highlighted that the operation reflected India's resolve to respond firmly to cross-border terrorism and protect national security.
