Ankit Balyan Murder: Two men who were suspected of attacking the Haryanvi singer and YouTuber Ankit Balyan were shot and killed by the police during an encounter in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh.

Sumit, 24, from Sonipat in Haryana, and Mohit, 22, also from Sonipat in Haryana, were both associated with the Gogi gang.

A reward of Rs 50,000 was offered for each arrest. Mohit was wanted in approximately 14 cases in Haryana, whereas Sumit was wanted in one.

Ankit Balyan Murder: Haryanvi Singer - YouTuber Killed Outside His Gym

Haryanvi singer Ankit Balyan was shot and killed outside his gym in Shamli on August 26, with reports indicating that four attackers arrived on two motorcycles and fired.

After the encounter of two suspected shooters by UP police, the remaining two suspects are still at large.

A video of the incident was subsequently posted on social media, displaying Balyan leaving his gym and walking to his car before the gunmen arrived and are said to have fired at least 16 shots at him.

Ankit Balyan Murder: The day after the murder, a person who claimed to be a member of the Gogi gang stated on social media that they were responsible for the killing.

On Saturday, senior members of the police went to Balyan's family following the wife's threat to set herself on fire outside the residence of the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister if the suspects had not been arrested within four days.

The Samajwadi Party and the Congress criticised the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government and questioned how it had handled law and order in the state.

Ankit Balyan Murder: An hour before his death, Balyan uploaded a video to Instagram in which he sang lines from his new song, including "Murder maar de sadak ke upar".

In the video, he is seen sitting in his car, singing the song 'Baby Badmash', which was released last month.

He resided in Shamli and had more than 500,000 followers on Instagram and over 300,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Among his popular songs were "Bhari Court Mein Goli Marenge", "Body Builder", "PTI" and "Ek Khtola Jail Ke Bhitar".

His music frequently refers to guns, fights and SUVs and contains lyrics on violence, defiance and rivalry.

Until 2013-14, he took part in competitions in Delhi, Bhopal, and other cities. Afterwards, he stopped competing after breaking his leg and then went to a gym.

In 2022, Balyan began focusing on Haryanvi music. Over the years, he has worked on more than 50 songs as a singer, lyricist and composer.

Ankit Balyan Murder: On Friday, the wife of Ankit Balyan, the Haryanvi singer and YouTuber who was murdered, stated that she would set herself on fire if the police had not arrested her husband's killers within four days.

She stated that she would carry out this drastic action either outside the Shamli subdivisional magistrate's office or at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's home.

Seema, a teacher from Delhi, told some reporters in Banti Kheda in the Shamli district that she is dissatisfied with the police inquiry and would be compelled to set herself on fire if the suspects are not arrested within four days; a video of her statement has been posted on social media.

Seema also stated that her husband had requested protection from the police but never received it.

CCTV Footage Revealed Entrance of Four Men

Ankit Balyan Murder: CCTV footage shows that no fewer than four men fired at Ankit Balyan, a Haryanvi singer and YouTuber, outside his gym in Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, and he died on the spot.

The video, which lasts one minute and twenty-nine seconds, starts with Balyan leaving the gym at around 6:45 pm on Wednesday; at that time, he is wearing black clothes and carrying a bag.

He walks towards his car, since it is parked by the gym.

A few seconds later, four men crossed the road and began to shoot at him.

No fewer than sixteen shots can be heard within 25 seconds before the four men run away.

Ankit Balyan Murder Case in Shamli: UP Police States Arrival of Four Attackers on Two Motorbikes

The Uttar Pradesh Police stated that the four attackers arrived on two motorcycles.

An individual posting under the name Bholu Shahpuri from Sonipat, Haryana, asserted that the Gogi gang were responsible for Balyan's murder.

The police are investigating this assertion and have dispatched four teams to Haryana.
